Some protesters are regrouping in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital on Day 5 of the #EndBadGovernance protest carrying the Russian flag.
They said, they are facing insecurity in their communities, which the government has not taken concrete steps to address, hence they are to continue the protest until the government does the needful.
Others who spoke in the Hausa language decried that the bandits had imposed heavy taxes on them to pay to avoid attacks and to access their farmlands, a development which they want the government to take necessary measures to protect the people against the bandits’ activities.

The protesters noted the alarming rate of abductions and killing of innocent citizens in Zamfara State, saying it is worrisome and they want the government to rescue the residents from the hands of the bandits and restore peace in the State so that people can go about carrying out their lawful businesses without fear.
