Major streets in Jos North and Jos South Local Government Areas of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria have remained deserted in compliance with 24-hour curfew earlier imposed in the two council areas by Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
A visit to venues of the #EndBadGovernance protest, which is the popular Old Airport Junction Roundabout and Ahmadu Bello Way, all indicates that the curfew is being fully complied with as nothing is happening except patrol by security operatives.
The 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on the two council areas was part of a decisive move to enhance the security of lives and maintain public order.

The decision by Governor Mutfwang, was taken shortly after some hoodlums hijacked the peaceful #EndBadGovernance protest in Jos around Zololo Junction, and began , attacking shops and looting people’s property.
Efforts to get the reactions of the two leaders of the Protesters, including former Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung and Prophet Isa El-Buba to comment on the development was unsuccessful. Prophet El-Buba had however earlier released a statement on Monday, describing the curfew as a deliberate attempt to silence the voice of Nigerians.
