As part of efforts to find immediate solutions to tackle economic difficulties and youth restiveness, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has held a meeting with youth representatives from the sixteen local government areas of the state.
Governor Kefas says, the meeting is to bridge the communication gap between the leaders and the led.
The meeting between Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, state government officials, local government chairmen and youth representatives from the sixteen local government areas of the state is to dialogue on the challenges facing the youths in the state.
Governor Kefas gave the floor to the youth representatives to highlight how his administration can do better for them and their communities.

Issues raised included, the rehabilitation of dilapidated infrastructure in rural areas, the set-up of vocational training centres, agricultural grants and the call for the setting up of a monitoring and supervision mechanism, to ensure that government interventions get to the nooks and crannies of the state, amongst others.

Governor Agbu Kefas, said resources will be mobilised towards addressing many of the issues raised by the youths at the meeting.

He also commended the peaceful conduct of the youths, who took to the streets, to demonstrate against hunger and economic hardship in the country.
Youths play a pivotal role in the Agbu Kefas’ administration, forming a majority in the State Executive Council, and other political appointments in Taraba State.
