Reports coming in from the BBC states that the Bangladesh parliament has been dissolved, according to a statement from the President’s office.
It was a key demand made by student protest coordinators, who had set a deadline of 15:00 local time (09:00 GMT).
Student protesters have made it clear that they will not accept a military-led government, and said Nobel Peace laureate, Muhammad Yunus has agreed to be the Interim government’s Chief Adviser.
