The Acting General Officer Commanding, (GOC), 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto, and Commander, Joint Task Force Northwest, Hadarin Daji, Brigadier General Ibikunle Ademola Ajose, has promised that the Nigerian Army will continue to discharge its Constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of citizens, and ensuring the safeguarding of the territorial integrity of the country.

Bri. Gen. Ajose stated this at the Kebbi State Government House, Birnin-Kebbi, when he paid a courtesy call to the State Governor, Nasir Idris.

The GOC said his officers and men remain resolute to keep Kebbi and its environs peaceful, and allow people to go about their normal activities in safety and tranquilly.

Ajose, thanked Kebbi State Government for its continued support to his men and energising the troops to take the fight to the criminals.

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris commended the gallantry and valour of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army in restoring security and peace in parts of the State and the nation at large.

The Governor assured that Kebbi State Government will do everything possible to ensure the success of the military and other security forces is sustained.
