The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Benneth Igweh has reportedly ordered the Immediate and discreet Investigation into the death of a yet to be identified male corpse found lying along the Katampe – Mabushi Expressway in Abuja on Thursday morning
In a statement signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, a distress call was received by the Command’s Control Room at about 07:40 AM, on Thursday morning, that an unidentified lady was seen lying motionless along Katampe – Mabushi Expressway.
The statement explained that a team of detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene where preliminary investigations revealed that the individual was a man fully dressed in female clothing, with no means of identification on him.
The Police said the person was immediately taken to the Maitama District Hospital, Abuja where Doctors on duty confirmed him dead.
It further stated that the Commissioner of Police, FCT, Benneth Igweh, promptly ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.
The statement by the PORO FCT Command notes that updates on the matter will be communicated in due course.
