Traders at Ekeoha market in Aba the commercial city of Abia State are not happy with the state government’s failure to involve them in the planned remodeling of the market.
The traders who besieged the Government house in Umuahia carrying placards with various inscriptions, want the State Government to consider the welfare of traders in their plans to remodel the Ekeoha market.
The Special Adviser to Governor Alex Otti on Trade, says the government is determined to modernize the market and will look into all issues arising from the planned remodeling.
Meanwhile, the Abia State Government has officially flagged off the remodeling of the Ekeoha market despite pleas from the Traders for an alternative site for their business pending the completion of the project.
