The Minister of Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has paid a sympathy visit to Kebbi State over the recent flood that affected villages in Argungu Local Government Area and some parts of the state.
The Minister, who is the immediate past Governor of Kebbi State, visited the affected villages and sympathised with the victims.

Speaking during a sympathy visit to Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Bagudu described the incident as highly pathetic.
He encouraged the victims to accept the will of God Almighty in good faith and prayed to Almighty to put an end to the menace.
When asked by journalists about the withdrawal of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the forthcoming local government elections in the state slated for Aug. 31, the minister said the withdrawal was in fear of the possible outcome of the elections in view of the governor’s good deed for his people.
He said, the PDP has no option than to withdraw from the contest in fear of the final outcome of the elections.
“You cannot stop Kebbi people from voting APC because the Governor has already finished campaign for his party.
“From what is going on there is no opposition in Kebbi, the main opposition, PDP is disintegrated due to sterling leadership qualities of the governor.”
Governor Nasir Idris appreciated the Minister for the visit, describing it as a sign of love and concern for the people of Kebbi State.
“We pray God Almighty will reward you abundantly and bless your noble course,” he prayed.
