The management of the University of Benin, UNIBEN has commended the laudable effort of the Federal Government in raising the standard of students and the tertiary education system.
University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami gave this commendation in a letter she wrote to the Management of the Nigerian Education Loans Fund, NELFUND Scheme to acknowledge receipt of the sum of N24,412,500 (Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) for 332 students of the institution.
In the letter signed on August 11, Professor Lilian Salami appreciated the Fund’s consideration of the institution’s students’ applications which got those who applied for the loan payment of school charges and upkeep.
She gave assurances of the commitment of UNIBEN’s management to the academic success of the students.
