The Kano State Government says it has provided six thousand free delivery kits for pregnant women across government facilities.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran, disclosed this during an inspection visit to Nuhu Bamalli Maternity Hospital, Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital.
The commissioner added that the state has also provided the necessary drugs and consumables for free caesarean birth surgery to five hundred women, as part of its commitment to promoting maternal health.
