The standard bearer of the main opposition party in Edo State, South-South Nigeria, Monday Okpebhole of the All Progressives Congress APC, has appealed to the electorate not to make the mistake of the pass seven years by voting for an outsider in the September 21 election.
Okpebhole who made the appeal while soliciting for votes of the people of Igueben LGA, emphasised his commitment to restoring the glory of Edo State if elected as Governor.
The ward-to-ward campaign train of the APC arrived Igueben local government area in Edo Central Senatorial District amid cheers and jubilation from supporters and party members.
Okpebholo told the people from the 10 wards of area who converged on Igueben, Akpon and Ebelle for the rally that he has carefully studied the areas the state has challenges. He therefore highlighted his plans to address the state’s challenges using his expertise in information technology.
The APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Dennis Idahosa and the Director-General of the campaign, Matthew Urhoghide also appealed to the people to come out on election day and vote massively for the party.
The combination of the two federal lawmakers from the green and red chambers as Governorship candidate and running mate has been described by supporters and party members as unique and promising choice for the future development of Edo State.
