Following the reported abduction of two guests from a Hotel around the Angwan Powa Line in Gauraka, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Danmamman, has ordered the review of security architecture in Tafa Local Government Area, to checkmate the rising crimes and criminality in the area.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 18, when a gang of kidnappers stormed the hotel, and abducted the victims, including the Director and Manager of the facility.
Though sources from the area claimed that Seven persons were kidnapped from the hotel, the director, his younger brother and his wife, the manager, and three guests, a statement by the State Police Command said only two people were abducted
