Governor Hyacinth Alia has tasked the new Benue State Caretaker Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to work diligently for the unity and progress of the party in the State.
The Governor made the call while receiving the Committee members at the Old Banquet Hall of Government House in Makurdi, the State capital.
He thanked all the Caretaker Committee members for accepting to serve in their various capacities and was confident that their coming would bring unity to the ruling party which has been so divided.
On the release of the recently abducted 20 medical students and House Officer, Governor Alia appreciated the joint security forces for their doggedness and contributions to rid the State of crime.
