The late President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanual Iwuanyanwu is set to be buried on the first of November, 2024.
The national burial committee announced this in Abuja shortly after its constitution by the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma.

Governor said the broad based committee was jointly set up by the five governors of the south east, an is a crucial step towards ensuring a befitting burial for the late Iwuanyanwu.
The committee received messages of solidarity from representatives of the Middle-Belt Forum, Afenifere, PANDEF and Arewa socio-cultural groups.
Senator Ben Obi, who is the chairman of the committee noted that the late Iwuanyanwu was a nationalist and a global citizen whose commitment to the progress of Ndi’gbo was unparalleled.
According to him, the legacies of Iwuanyanwu must be sustained beyond his lifetime, disclosing that the committee in consultation with the Anglican Church has fixed November 1, as the burial date.
