The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) says it has not lifted the suspension on the president of the association Pretty Okafor; who was relieved from his duty on Friday August 23rd 2024.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary PMAN Boniface Itodo urged the public to disregard speculations making the rounds that the National Executive Committee(NEC) has reversed the suspension of Okafor.
Pretty Okafor was alleged to have been found wanting in a gross misconduct and breach of PMAN’s constitution and financial regulations; hence he was asked to step aside pending further disciplinary proceedings as spelt out in the PMAN constitution.
Since Okafor’s removal from office ace musician Sunny Nneji who has served as the first Vice President of PMAN has been in acting capacity in line with the PMAN code of conduct.
