An unusual occurrence happened in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, South-East Nigeria, as officials and members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and affiliate unions marched from the Pa Ngele Township Stadium to the Ebonyi State Police Command headquaters.
The procession to the State Command by the NLC members is in connection with Police invitation to their President, Joe Ajero, over alleged terrorism financing.
State NLC Chairman, Ogugwua Egwu says the procession is a show of solidarity with the NLC President and to stand for the economic emancipation of the hardship Nigerians are facing.
There were prayers for the members at the Police Command.
