South Africa’s Chidinma Adetshina wins 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria

The 23-year-old model and beauty queen, Chidinma Adetshina whose story went viral over Miss South Africa beauty pageant for her conflicting nationality has won the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant.

The beauty contest which held Saturday, August 31 in Lagos had Chidinma slug it out with 24 other contestants to emerge winner. She represented Miss Taraba in the pageant and defeated four other finalists including Miss Rivers, Miss Anambra, Miss Ondo and Miss Edo to be crowned winner.

Come Saturday, November 16, she would be representing Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.

Recall Chidinma Adetshina, the naturalised Soweto South African model born to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother had withdrawn from the Miss South Africa 2024 beauty pageant after receiving backlashes from South Africans who questioned her nationality.
