A coalition of Concerned Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria say the importation of adulterated Petroleum products into Nigeria is a crime against humanity

Speaking in Abuja on Monday, the group called for the immediate sack of the Group Managing Director of NNPC Limited Mele Kyari.

Displaying placards with different inscriptions to drive home their demands, the coalition is demanding for accountability from the NNPCL under the watch of Mele Kyari.

The Group’s convener says the protest is to voice the frustrations of millions of Nigerians who are suffering untold hardship by the failure of one man.

They noted that the current fuel scarcity is a deliberate attempt to further worsen the suffering of Nigerians.

Nothing that the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu cannot be realised with the kind of leadership, in NNPC.

The group further noted that it is shameful that one man can single-handedly build the biggest refinery in the world while the NNPCL has been struggling for over a decade to fix existing refineries.

The Coalition maintained that the Nigerian refineries are the backbone of fuel supply and the economy insisting that it is evident that the leadership of NNPCL has failed the nation.
