The National Assembly has postponed resumption from its annual recess earlier scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024, by one week
A statement by Spokespersons of both chambers explained that lawmakers will now resume on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 to “continue working towards achieving their respective Legislative Agendas, focusing on impactful reforms aimed at national development and fulfilling its mandate to the Nigerian people”
In the House of Representatives, the spokesperson, Akin Rotimi Jnr revealed plans by the House leadership to inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and the Joint Senate/House Adhoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry Investigation upon resumption.
