The National orientation agency is encouraging Nigerians in Nasarawa state to provide more information to security agencies to curb the rising cases of crime.

The advice was given during a sensitisation session on peace, security, awareness and disaster management held in Akwanga local government area of the state.

Communal, ethnic clashes and security challenges continue to threaten the peaceful coexistence of people living in the country.

In Nasarawa state north central Nigeria, the improvement on security situation is again dwindling following the rise in criminal activities even in the state ‘s capital Lafia.

Key players from Nasarawa north constituency gathered to shed light on the security challenges. For the governor, NOA team, lawmaker representing Akwanga, Wamba , Nasarawa Eggon constituency, NEMA, traditional rulers and security agencies they resolved that criminality in the zone must be tamed.

They agreed that national responsibility for peace and unity can hardly be achieved without cooperation and contribution from all.

The people and stakeholders in the state were advised to give security personnel useful information on criminals and also support the proactive measures being put in place by security agencies to rid the state of crime.
