Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance, and to employ various means that will add value in various sectors of the state
The Governor stated this during the swearing in of 41 Special Advisers and two members of the State Independent Electoral Commission, this Thursday at the government House, Yenagoa.
He said the role of the new appointees is to actualise his administration’s vision in the areas of agricultural revolution, blue economy, sports development, security among others.
Delivering his charge to the new appointees, Governor Diri urged them to see their appointments as an honour and for service to the people of the state.
The new special advisers include former commissioners and former local government chairmen
