Civil rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has been arrested
His associate, Deji Adeyanju confirmed this in a message to AIT News on Sunday morning.
He was arrested on arrival at the Muritala Muhammad International Airport Lagos.
Sowore had earlier been listed as a person of interest following last August’s EndBadGovernance protests.
He was outside the country during the protests but was actively promoting the cause online
It is not clear which agency is behind his arrest, but the SSS had reportedly been keeping a close watch on him
