American musician Tito Jackson dies at 70

The late Tito Jackson

Gary Indiana United States-born pop, soul, rock and blues musician, guitarist Toriano Jackson popularly known as Tito Jackson from the Jackson 5 music band has died at age 70.

Tito, an elder brother to the late king of pop music, Michael Jackson died Sunday September 15th 2024 while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma.

His sons Taryll, TJ and Taj who broke the news of their father’s demise on Instagram said:

“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken,” “Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their wellbeing”.

“He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time” for us.

“Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”

The Jackson 5

Tito Jackson who began his music career in the late 1960s and 70s became popular with his brothers: Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael known as the Jackson 5.

He was the last of the Jackson siblings to do a solo project having released the album Tito Time in 2016.

The late guitarist born October 15,1953 who died exactly one month before his 71st birthday was the third of the 9 Jackson children.
