The Edo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed its readiness for the off-cycle governorship election billed to take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The Party’s leadership made this known after a closed door meeting of its Caucus at the Government House, Benin City.
The State chairman of the PDP, Anthony Aziegbemi, believes that the exercise will be peaceful and wants residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for the candidate of the party, Asue Ighodalo.

The leader of the Party in the State, Governor Godwin Obaseki, revealed that the critical key players in the election have committed to a peaceful and credible election.
The PDP is confident that the people oriented policies, programmes, and reforms of the Obaseki-led government are enough to secure the majority of votes from the electorate.
