The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC, has raised concerns over the improper nomination of candidates by three political parties ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
The chairman of the state’electoral commission Hassim Abioye raised the alarm while briefing journalists in Osogbo on Friday.
Abioye said three political parties are guilty of fielding improperly nominated candidates.

While presenting the report of the commission’s verification committee to journalists he said all 18 political parties that nominated candidates committed one form of infraction at various stages of nomination
Abioye said All Progressives Congress, Allied Peoples Movement, and Action Peoples Party, committed infractions that cannot be overlooked.
According to him, the names of candidates submitted by the named political parties were different from the names on the nomination forms submitted to the Commission.
