The immediate past Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETfund, Kashim Imam, an indigenes of Borno State, has embarked on the distribution of 200,000 packs of cooked food to victims of the Maiduguri flood.

He is in addition appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to rally around the affected population.

He is also distributing 7,500 bags of 50kg, 25 and 10kgs of rice as well.

Some of the areas that benefitted from the food packs include victims at the Yerwa Central School, Gamboru Ward and Sheikh Ibrahim Saleh Mosque, in the Gwange area of Maiduguri.

The former TETfund boss said he had to relocate his entire family to Maiduguri and stayed back, because Governor Zulum had said that the scale of the devastation is beyond the ability of the state to cope.
