The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC has declared the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Saturday’s Local Government Council elections across the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Chris Ngwu, made the announcement at its headquarters in Enugu, Sunday evening confirming that the PDP secured all 17 chairmanship seats.

Regarding the councilorship positions, Prof. Ngwu stated that the results were declared at the 260 wards throughout the State.
He admitted that while there were some irregularities, the overall election was conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
