Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, has constituted a Committee on Flood Disaster Relief Disbursement.
The committee would coordinate government intervention to victims of the flooding, in the Maiduguri metropolis, and its environs.
The 32-man committee, consists of persons drawn from government and non-governmental organisations.
The governor congratulated them on the opportunity to serve.
“I urge you to execute your task with commitment and transparency.”
It could be recalled that most parts of Maiduguri were submerged in water recently, due to the overflow of Alau Dam, which displaced many communities, and caused devastation to both public and private infrastructure.
