The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State is facing turmoil following the recent state congress. Danjuma Sarki, one of the aspirants in the election, has rejected its outcome.
At a press conference in Kaduna, Sarki described the election as an assault on democracy, alleging that it was marred by irregularities that will threaten the party’s future. He likened the process to “armed robbery of Nigerian democracy.”
Sarki urged the national leadership of the PDP to urgently intervene to salvage the situation, expressing concerns that the future of the party in Kaduna State is at risk.
He further claimed that due process was not followed and accused officials of violating both the PDP’s constitution and the national electoral laws. Sarki called for justice and demanded that the national leadership takes swift action to resolve the crisis.
