The Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council for Edo State Governorship Election and Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has said that Nigeria’s main opposition Party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will challenge the results of the just concluded off-cycle governorship election in Edo State.
Fintiri made the position known in Yola, the Adamawa State capital on Thursday when he received the Wards Executives of the PDP from across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State that paid him a solidarity visit over his performance in the Edo State polls.

He said, “the Party and teeming people of Adamawa State are proud of you and your performance in leading the PDP Campaign Council at the Edo State governorship election exercise.”
In his response, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri thanked the stakeholders for the visit which he described as morale boosting and restated that what happened in Edo State is not an election, but unpatriotism in display.
