Ogun State Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alamutu has commissioned an ultramodern Police station along the Mowe end of the Lagos Ibadan expressway as part of ongoing efforts to tackle cases of security challenges along the axis .
Alamutu while giving his remarks at the commissionig ceremony, said the facility will go a long way in beefing up security within the area and environs.
Community leaders at the Mowe Ibafo area including other residents were thankful to the Ogun State government and the state’s police command for working together to ensure the successful construction of the police station for the benefit of the community.
The Commissioner of Police who used the occasion to reaffirm the command’s commitment to ending all security problems in the state also sent a strong warning to criminals around the area to repent, relocate or be captured and prosecuted according to the laws.
The Mowe, Ibafo, Berger, Lagos- Ibadan expressway corridor is a high risk security zone with crimes such as kidnappings, robbery, raping and harassment of residents, passersby and motorists almost becoming a daily occurrence within the axis.
