The Edo State Government has warned who it described as the impeached Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shiabu not to act in breach of extant laws as it said that the ousted deputy governor led an entourage on an inspection of the site of the Radisson Hotel in the Government Reserved Area, GRA, of Benin City.
The Special Adviser to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, who conveyed the warning of the state government cautioned Philip Shaibu not to disrupt the process of governance and subject himself to the law at all times.
The Special Adviser added that just like any private citizen, Philip Shaibu can take a tour around the exceptional projects of Governor Obaseki but said that both himself and the security agencies should not carry out actions that violate the laws and the constitution.
Crusoe called on Shaibu to be patient and wait for the Appeal Court to hear his matter; noting that he needs to learn to subject himself to authority of the law.
He enjoined residents to go about their lawful business, and be rest assured that the state government will always ensure the protection of lives and property in line with extant laws of Edo. State
