As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence day anniversary, Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has acknowledged that there is hardship in the land, calling on Nigerians to deepen their prayers for the peace and prosperity of the country.
In a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, to mark the 64th Independence anniversary of Nigeria, Governor Bago said the nation is indeed going through a difficult time at the moment.
He recognised the prevailing harsh economy, orchestrated by several factors, and encouraged the people to strengthen their faith in God as the government at all levels is making frantic efforts to ameliorate their sufferings and stabilise the economy.

The Governor also encourages Nigerians not to focus on the negatives alone, but to reflect on God’s mercies and favours and be thankful to Him for keeping the nation as one entity despite the challenges.
He further reminded Nigerians that a united country is better and more beneficial for all.
While congratulating Nigerians on the 64th anniversary of nationhood, Governor Bago however appealed to all to remain resolute, law-abiding, passionate and supportive of government at all levels in the task of nation-building, which he said is a collective one.
