Zamfara Govt Embarks On Infrastructure Upgrade, Equipping of General Hospitals Across the State

The Zamfara State Government has began a massive upgrade of facilities and equipping of General Hospitals across the State, aimed at improving healthcare services to the people.

The project includes, the reconstruction, renovation and equipping of hospitals to offer quality services to residents, especially in the rural communities.

The Communication team of Governor Dauda Lawal, led by the Director General of Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, Nuhu Anka, said this while inspecting ongoing projects at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, the King Fahad and Farida General Hospitals in Gusau, the State capital.

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, had declared a State of Emergency in the health sector on assumption of office, due to its bad state, promising immediate actions to revamp the sector.

ait.live gathered that reconstruction, renovation and equipping of Kaura Namoda, Maru and Nasarawa Bukulun hospitals in Bukkuyum Local Government Areas of the State have been completed and inaugurated, while others are ongoing.

Nuhu Anka, who led Journalists on the sites inspection spoke on the rationale behind the ongoing massive projects, explained that it will improve health and lives of the ordinary citizens and residents of the State.

It was observed that at the Farida General Hospital, reconstruction works in some Wards, the Emergency unit, Administrative block, perimeter fence and the Security poll building, had been completed and already in use, while some other blocks will be completed in the next few weeks.
