Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu has been conferred with the Presidential Award of Excellence and Outstanding Performance in the execution of developmental projects in the state.

Senior Special Assistant to President on Community Engagement, Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, presented the award to Governor Aliyu at the Government House, Sokoto.

He said the award is in recognition of the Governor’s efforts in evenly transforming the state.

He noted that the Community Engagement Department established by President Bola Tinubu receives feedbacks from the Nigerian populace on various people-oriented programmes being executed by the Federal Government across the country.

He said that 300 slots of the Federal Government’s conditional cash transfer programme have been allocated to students of the Sokoto State University.
