With less than 28 days to the November 12th handover of power in Edo State to the governor-elect Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress APC, has set up a 24-member transition committee chaired by former Deputy Governor Pius Odubu.
The committee will work in tandem with the transition team of the outgoing administration led by the secretary to the state government Joseph Eboigbe.
According to a press statement issued by the state party chairman Jarrett Tenebe, the committee includes notable members such as Senators Matthew Urhoghide and Ize-Iyamu, Paul Ohonbamu, Andrew Enwanta, Nosa Adams, Omosede Igbinedion, Kassim Afegbua, among others.
Tenebe expressed optimism for a smooth and productive collaboration between the APC’s committee and the 20-member transition team inaugurated by Governor Obaseki in July 2024.
