The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, (KOSIEC) has begun the sorting and distribution of sensitive materials ahead of Saturday, October 19th 2024 Local Government Elections in the State.
The electoral body started the sorting and distribution of sensitive materials as early as 8 am on Friday with security personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, (NSCDC), Department of State Services, (DSS), including local vigilantes on ground to monitor the exercise.
The Chairman of KOSIEC, Mamman Eri, promised to conduct a transparent, free, and credible election in the State.
He appealed to all relevant stakeholders for collaboration to ensure a hitch free exercise on Saturday.
