For many vulnerable children and households in Cross River State, life has taken a hopeful turn.

Beneficiaries of a state-supported program, young people and families who once faced uncertain futures, now find themselves equipped with skills, opportunities, and renewed dreams.

Trained in vocational skills and provided with financial support to start their own businesses, the affected youths shared their deep gratitude, describing how the program has changed their lives.

Their stories were celebrated at the closing ceremony of a program, where Cross River State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Edema Irom, highlighted the importance of building on the momentum.

She made a passionate call for a National Council on Children’s Affairs, stressing that children’s welfare must be a national priority.

The Commissioner, alongside partners, shared the government’s unwavering commitment to the children, integrating their welfare into programs aimed at lifting them out of hardship.

Partner organizations involved in the initiative reflected on their contributions, urging the government to expand the efforts and to ensure that every child in the state gets the same opportunity

The Cross River State government and its partners continue to pave the way, hoping that their commitment will inspire others to prioritize and protect the future of every child.
