Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has been commended by youths in the state under the auspices of Political Nationalists, for prioritizing the engagement of youths in governance.
They also recognized the contributions of some appointments by the Taraba State Government that have contributed to good governance and political stability.
The empowerment of Taraba youths to take over leadership is one of the five-point agendas of Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas.
Youths in the state under the auspices of Political Nationalists say Governor Agbu Kefas has kept to his promise of engaging more young people in his administration, by creating a positive shift in governance, and stability in the political landscape of the state.
The policies and ongoing projects of the present administration were also brought under the spotlight at the event.
Some of the administration’s appointees who have keyed into the youth empowerment agenda, and contributed to good governance and political stability, as well as upholding democratic values, have been recognised and awarded for their services to the state and humanity.
Convener of the program, Tsa-Tsen Agbu, said Governor Agbu Kefas has introduced policies that have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens, alongside a formidable team that is instrumental in the implementation of the policies.
Those recognized include Taraba State’s Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chairman, former State PDP Chairman, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, among others.
The recognition is in honor of Governor Agbu Kefas’ strides in delivering the dividends of democracy to Taraba people.
The youths are in agreement that the political empowerment of the young generation, is an investment that will yield fruitful results for the state in the future.
