NYSC boss urge Nigerians to maintain clean environment so as to prevent communicable disease

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has called on Nigerians to always keep their environment clean to avoid communicable diseases.

He made this call during the inauguration of the NYSC National Environmental Sanitation exercise in Lafia Nasarawa state.

The Director-General of the scheme Brigadier General Shauibu Ibrahim, was represented by the principle inspector of CDS Department NYSC headquarters, Blessing Abu.

He said the call became necessary because the recent nationwide medical outreach carried out by the scheme for rural dwellers was for the treatment of ailment as a result of poor hygiene.

The NYSC boss urged Nigerians to key into the initiative in other to keep Nigeria clean and save more lives

Nasarawa state Coordinator of the NYSC Abdullahi Jikamshi said the citation is to complement the state government’s efforts to keep the state hygienic at all times.

He called on the people of the state to avoid open defecation, maintain proper waste disposal, personal and environmental hygiene to avoid outbreaks of communicable diseases amongst others

Jikamshi noted that nationwide Sanitation would be observed every two weeks across the country.
