Airstrikes conducted by the Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA on November 16, 2024, killed numerous terrorists and obliterated a critical arms depot and residence of notorious kingpin Mallam Saleh, a loyalist of Dogo Gide, in Palele, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

A statement by the spokesperson, Olusola Akinboyewa says Saleh’s reign of terror had plagued vulnerable communities in Shiroro, with attacks, abductions, and extortion leaving a trail of fear. He added that the Air Component had been tracking bandit leader’s movement, gathering crucial intel to dismantle his operations.

According to the spokesperson, NAF aircraft swooped on the terrorists riding motorcycles in the target area.
