The Peoples Democratic party PDP, Ogun State Chapter has described the just concluded local government election in the state as undemocratic.
The party Chairman, Abayomi Tella who addressed journalists at a press conference Monday in Abeokuta the State capital stressed that of the 5,244 polling units, voting did not take place in over 4,000 polling units due to lack of electoral materials and absence of officials of the state electoral commission.
The people Democratic party PDP has joined four other opposition political parties to allege that the Saturday 16 November local government election was undemocratic.
The peoples democratic Party PDP said the electorate were not allowed to exercise their franchise across the twenty local Government Areas of the state.
The leader of the Party in the state, Ladi Adebutu alleged that the election was marrred with violence depriving many from exercising their right to vote
The party said its position will soon be made known to the public and what next to do on the outcome of the election.
Meanwhile, The twenty local Government chairmen have been sworn in by the ogun state governor Dapo Abiodun, Monday at the cultural center Kuto Abeokuta.
