Osun state Governor Sen. Ademola Adeleke has made a bold claim regarding his administration’s achievements in pension payments, stating that he has surpassed the combined efforts of two previous administrations in just two years.

The governor stated this while speaking at a labour event in Osogbo where bonds worth 2billion naira were given to retirees in the state.

Providing a breakdown, Adeleke noted that former Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration paid over N17.1 billion by 2018, while former Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration added just N17.2 billion by 2022 all in 12 years

In comparison, Adeleke said his government has paid N22.6 billion in just two years, a feat he attributes to prioritizing senior citizens welfare.

He said his administration paid almost 70 percent under two years of what the former APC administration paid under 12 years.

The retirees reiterate their firm belief in governor Adeleke to transform Osun state declaring their support for his administration

Upon assumption of office as the 6th executive governor of Osun state in November 2022, governor Adeleke increased monies released for pension payments and gratuity by 100 percent.
