Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has assured the people of Bauchi, particularly Sayawa community, that his administration is determined to create the Sayawa Chiefdom before the expiration of his tenure.
The Governor gave the assurance when he was receiving report of the Fact-finding Committee at Government House Bauchi, North-East Nigeria.
The committee chairman, Haruna Mandabs, said they went round Nasarawa, Plateau and Kaduna States on a study tour, to further have first-hand information that will guide the government on the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom.
Governor Mohammed appreciated the committee for effectively discharging its responsibility, that will pave way for the permanent establishment of Sayawa Chiefdom, free from any unwanted issues, for sustainable development.
The Governor says considering the massive support he has been receiving from the Sayawa community since he joined politics, it has become necessary to fulfil their long-awaited desire, by creating the Sayawa Chiefdom, to strengthen peace and unity, among the diverse communities of the state.
It could be recalled that similar committees were inaugurated by successive administrations with no positive result or implementation of recommendations. The Governor however assured that his administration will change the narrative.
