The late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Patience Eno has been buried.

The ceremony was witnessed by thousands of mourners including former Presidents, Governors and their wives, National Assembly members and others.

The who is who in Nigeria converged on the small sleepy town of Ikot Ekpene Udo, in Nsit Ubium LGA, the country home of the Governor of Akwa Ibom state , Umo Eno to pay their last respect to his late wife, Patience Eno.

Despite the song ministrations meant to lift the spirits of those in attendance, the atmosphere was solemn even as Governor Umo Eno said that his late wife lives on.

Wife of the President, Remi Tinubu , represented by wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima urged the family to keep the dreams of the late First Lady alive.

The sermon was delivered by the President of First Love Foundation, Simeon Afolabi who paid tribute to the life of the deceased.

Highlights of the ceremony included the unveiling of a book of tributes in honour of the departed First Lady by the former Governor Udom Emmanuel.

The remains of the deceased were later taken to the family compound for private interment.
