About 400 women petty traders and small-scale medium business owners in Niger State have received cash empowerment to boost their businesses in the face of the current economic challenges.
The empowerment by Aisha Lemu, the coordinator of political mobilisation was held at Lemu town of Ggbako local government area of the state.
According to Lemu, the aim is to contribute to the welfare of women and support their businesses.
Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, Amina Abubakar said the gesture will assist their businesses.
Other speakers at the empowerment called on other wealthy individuals to assist the less privileged, especially women in this harsh economic condition.
The beneficiaries promised to make judicious use of the money by injecting them into their businesses.
