Lagos LG Elections: APC wins all 57 chairmanship seats

Results of Saturday’s local government elections in the 20 LGA’s and 37 LCDA’s of Lagos state are trickling in with  the ruling All  Progressives Party (APC) leading in the polls.

Incumbent Agege lCDA chairman, Ganiu Egunjobi garnered a total of 6226 votes to beat his closest rival from the PDP Olusola Osolana.

In Badagry LCDA, APC’s incumbent chairman, Olusegun Onilode retained his position as council chairman by defeating PDP Monday Hunfuou who scored 2118 as against his 8065 votes.

At Epe, the daughter of Oba Animashaun, Surah Animashaun equally defeated her closest rival from PDP scoring a total of 11, 232 votes

Other areas include Shomolu, Agbado Oke Odo, Ojukoro, Somolu,  Ifako Ijaiye, Apapa.

Winners in the election will receive their certificates of return at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) office Yaba Lagos on Tuesday from the commission’s Chairman Justice  Phillips.
