Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has presented a ₦790 billion budget proposal for 2025 to the Kaduna State House of Assembly, emphasising rural transformation and inclusiveness as the central themes of the fiscal plan.
The governor urged the house to support the transformation drive for inclusive government.
Tagged the “Budget of Rural Transformation and Inclusiveness,” the proposal aims to enhance development through job creation, infrastructure improvement, and investment in critical sectors such as education and healthcare.
The Governor disclosed that capital expenditure accounts for ₦553 billion, while recurrent expenditure is pegged at ₦237 billion, reflecting a focus on long-term infrastructure and human capital development.

Highlighting the education sector, Governor Sani allocated ₦206.6 billion, representing 26.14% of the total budget, to fund new schools, rehabilitate existing facilities, recruit teachers, and provide learning materials.
Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman, commended the budget’s focus and assured of the House’s collaboration with the executive for an inclusive government.
The Assembly pledged to expedite the budget’s review to ensure its swift passage, emphasising the shared goal of fostering a prosperous Kaduna State.
