The three tiers of government in Nigeria will need to come up with policies deliberately targeted at the inclusion of more youths in the governance process of the Country.
This was the advice given by some resource persons at a one-day stakeholders consultative meeting on youth development and empowerment which held in lokoja the Kogi State capital.
All the resource persons expressed optimism that the lokoja youth engagement remains a call for more united, progressive Country that will engage the Youths for a better Nigerian society.
The convener of the summit, Oseni Okwutepa, noted that most Youths in Nigeria have been relegated to the background which have triggered crime and criminality across the Country
The stakeholders meeting which focused on action for effective coordination and collaboration among relevant stakeholders on Youth Development and empowerment project intervention in Kogi State, saw participants advocating youths being part of the governance process for a better Nigeria.
