Two Groups under the aegis of Benue Renaissance and the Gubernatorial Liaison Officers have called for the replacement of the Secretary to The Government Of The Federation, George Akume, following what they termed as an attack on the State Governor Hyacinth Alia during the burial of the late Elder statesman Paul Unongu.

The pressure groups who faulted the SGF for most of the mild drama that ensued at the occasion want him held responsible and declared him incompetent.

The SGF however refused to comment on the matter.

Although the remains of Elder statesman and second republic minister for steel development Paul Unongu has successfully been laid to rest the events that ensued during the ceremony are still unfolding with the Benue renaissance group as well as the recently inaugurated Gubernatorial liaison officers condemning the mild drama involving the Secretary to The Government Of The Federation George Akume which they say was tantamount to dancing on Unongu’ s grave.

While highlighting the issues that led to this conclusion the pressure groups argued that the Secretary to The Government Of The Federation be held responsible.

They called on the Benue people to discern truth from mirage noting that the Governor’s commitment to the people’s welfare should be safe guarded against malicious schemes of those who seek to exploit the State for their personal gains.

The Groups then proceeded to stage a solidarity walk to the Government house where they were received by the Chief of Staff to the Governor Paul Biam.

They called for a greater Benue of their dreams, praying for the success of the State Governor.

When contacted Special Adviser Office Of The Secretary to The Government Of The Federation Terrence Kuanum declined to comment on the matter saying it will be belittling of his Principal’s office.
